The examiner was Jerry Dwyer, the owner of the plane in which Buddy, Big Bopper and Ritchie and the pilot were killed in 1959. As Jerry and "Steve" flew out from the airport, Jerry pointed to a fence and said, "That is the fence the plane hit when it crashed. Jerry said he saw a bullet hole in the pilot's seat. He took the seat out and keep it in storage all those years (their conversation was in 1982). Jerry is reported to be living in Arizona now.
